Obama Administration / Our defense: We’re incompetent and we’re sticking to it!

For a good chuckle, little matches Jay Carney’s blathering blarney, a regular Baghdad Bob if you will:   Our defense: We’re incompetent and we’re sticking to it!  Couldn’t Barry have found a more mature member of the objective mainstream media to propagandize his former colleagues?

As recently as Sunday last, The New York Slimes, er, Times ran a front page feature touted as “breaking news!” Allegedly G.W. Bush, then President of these United States (Do you miss him yet?) received an intelligence briefing in August 2001 in which the theme was, “Osama bin Laden is committed to striking U.S.”  Given that Mr. bin Laden “declared war on the United States all the way back when Bill Clinton was canoodling Monica Lewinsky;  given that bin Laden had taken credit for attacks on the U.S.S. Cole and the embassy bombing in Nairobi; and given that Billary had passed on three opportunities to dispatch bin Laden – as Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama later did so bravely – it’s fair to assume that all intell briefings carried some casual reference to the threat of al Qaeda. The “Progressive” left, “Liberals,” and even Democrats won’t abandon this trope.

Now, along comes the feckless Obama administration which defends , in a way, our sovereign territory, our embassies, with ammo free weapons. (We’re reminded: “French carbines for sale. Never fired, dropped once.”)  Should Barry or Hillary, or Leon Panetta or at least David Petraeus have anticipated unrest on the ANNIVERSARY of 9/11?! One would think, but only if one is not a member of the mainstream media.

Instead, the mainstream that found G.W. Bush unable to ever be right or competent now fails to ask simple questions: Should we have been prepared? Should we have at least been on a higher alert status?  How is it possible that our intell community had no sense, zero sense, for the tensions on the “Arab Street?” Where do Muslims for Barry, 2012 contribute?

Instead, the mainstream accepts without question that this was a total shock; it was not scripted; it is not directed at U.S. policies or Barry Obama; and that G.W Bush is responsible. OK, we made up the last point . . . maybe not . . .

Mr. Obama and the Bigotry of Low Expectations

In the recent kerfuffle over whether Mitt Romney should have waited two hours longer to comment on the rat’s breakfast called the Middle East, or simply shut-up and slunk away like a “good” Republican there is much to be learned.

To quickly review, The U.S. Embassy, Cairo before “protesters” gathered to assault our sovereign territory published a statement in which it apologized to Muslims whose “religious feelings” were hurt by an Internet video in an unfavorable way. The statement is indisputably an “apology:”

The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.

Nowhere in the statement is there a defense of, or explanation of, our First Amendment right to free speech, the right so vigorously defended by “Progressives” when Jose Serano, with taxpayer dollars, dunked a Crucifix in a urine filled mason jar, called it art, and offended nearly all Christians in particular and most sentient beings of other faiths.

Mr. Romney responded to this nuzzling of Islamists, not to the actual attack on our sovereignty or the near simultaneous assault in Benghazi that took four lives including Ambassador Stevens who was not heroically defended as Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton suggested, but who was, according to reliable reporting in Europe, raped and smothered.

The Administration predictably linked Mr. Romney’s statement to the later attacks to suggest that he was dancing on the remains of the dead. But, more interesting is that the mainstream media quickly embraced that notion, famously asking seven nearly identical questions of Mr. Romney – “Is it true your were a jerk to comment?” – who responded even as Mr. Obama didn’t. The goal was clearly to deflect attention from Mr. Obama, his policies, and his responses to assaults on U.S. interests.

And, therein lies a question: We know that the main-streamers for the most part embrace Mr. Obama’s “Progressive” agenda. But then shouldn’t they tee up the issues, ask him questions he can prattle about and characteristically spin his obscure answers into Churchillian prose?

Then it occurred to us! They don’t ask because of the bigotry of low expectations. And yes, we mean it that way! It’s not so much that they expect Mr. Obama to answer oddly as he did without a teleprompter when he declared that Egypt is neither a friend nor a foe; it’s that “Progressives” are often quiet bigots who assume that successful African-Americans are “affirmative action” products who fulfill “Progressives” need to apologize for America’s Original sin – slavery.  The main-streamers don’t ask because they fear that Mr. Obama is not up to the challenge and they must protect and defend their institutions, lest they be discovered as bigots.

Obama: “Put it on My Tab”

Wit thanks to Jim Taranto, WSJ:

“Washington [D.C.]-area consumers have the second highest average credit card balances in the nation, and mortgages that rank in the top 10, according to credit monitoring service Credit Karma,” reports the Washington Business Journal:

Nationally, consumers currently have outstanding credit card balances averaging $5,403. In Washington, the average outstanding balance is $6,439, second only to Honolulu, at $6,846.

That’s nothing. We know this guy who was born in Honolulu and moved to Washington a few years ago, and you’ll never believe how much debt he ran up!”

Ambassador Stevens died, Obama Lied

One can ask simply, why didn’t the United States Marines and State Department security prevent the sacking of the Consulate in Egypt and Embassy is Libya? Not a single attacker was subjected to lead poisoning.  One can ask simply, why did the Libyan security forces who evacuated Ambassador Stevens from the embassy to a “safe” location then inform the attackers of his new “safe” location? There, he was dispatched.  And one can simply ask, does this look like a heroic delivery of the Ambassador to a Libyan hospital?

Here is the delivery method used to “save” Mr. Stevens:

One can only conclude that Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama and his stoogess, Hilary Rodham Clinton lied!

SHOCK! Obama’s Government Motors’ Volt loses $49,000 per vehicle

OK, we’re not shocked at all. The Volt is interesting technology with little appeal or practical use as an automobile and is a financial car wreck.  But, it is a cool doorstop. And, keep in mind that Government Motors, the company first saved by George W. Bush, isn’t losing $49,000 per car; you, the taxpayers are losing. To make it worse if possible, Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama gave half the company to the United Auto Workers, your partner – the union that will need an additional bailout after it brings G.M to the depths of collapse again.

Billary Clinton tells us “It’s Arithmetic!”

And Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama illustrates how challenging even simple math can be.  Is it any wonder we are in financial distress? While it’s frightening enough that Joe Biden is only a heartbeat away, it gives little comfort that this character is the heartbeat.

One Heartbeat Away . . .

Pray for Barry’s good health. A dose of reality would be nice too but we live in Realville . . .

Tony Robbins is no genius, but he’s smart . . .

In this video Tony Robbins deconstructs deficit spending and federal debt which now exceeds $16,000,000,000,000 and directly addresses Mr. Obama’s campaign of greed and envy: “Ask the ‘Rich’ to pay their fair share.”

Clearly destroying the ‘Rich’ is Barry’s goal, because it’s painfully clear that taxing them at any rate – even by confiscating their wealth – will not remedy what ails. Taxing them a “little more” or their “fair share” does nothing and stealing their wealth makes the problem insoluble. But, it would achieve Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama’s “Dreams [from] His Father” – a socialist utopia.

Breaking up is hard to do . . .

No, it isn’t. It’s easy as this new Romney ad shows.

Unconnected Dots . . .

  • GOD is back . . . Not that he left the Democrats, they left HIM – out of their platform.  Little Dick Turban Durbin stirred the stew yesterday with his shrill hysterics in response to a simple question from Bret Baier in which Little Dick suggested that FoxNews, or wascally Wepublicans or other devious forces had created the controversy.
  • Nearly as interesting is that Democrats now recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel and not just an artichoke . . .

Perhaps most amazing is that it took three voice votes to find the two-thirds of delegates in support of both positions, and, if one listened to the vote, it lost!  The chair simply gaveled a victory declared.
