Barry Obama, the ‘Optimal’ Ass? UPDATE

In an astonishing “gaffe” or “inelegant” choice or words, or whatever else the mainstream media mess will call it, Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama has insulted every American of every persuasion and some not even imagined. Benghazi is simply bad optics. Who knew?

Yes, he is the OPTIMAL ASSHOLE!
Mom is not “Optimal”   either . . . In her words:

“It’s insensitive to say my son is not very optimal – he is also very dead. I’ve not been ‘optimal’ since he died and the past few weeks have been pure hell.”

Michael Barone, analyst extraordinaire

Mr. Barone explains the trending of the distaff side to Governor Romney. His LOL money quote:

One is reminded that Biden was near the bottom of his class at Syracuse Law School. A Roe reversal, which is highly unlikely no matter who is confirmed to the high court, would simply return the issue to the states. Abortion wouldn’t be banned anywhere except, maybe, in Utah, Louisiana and Guam.

We have a soft spot for George McGovern

We wish George McGovern well as he slowly nears his maker.  While he was a “Progressive” before it was cool – OK, it isn’t and wasn’t – he was a cheerful man, simply uninformed. Years after his colossal defeat by Richard Milhouse Nixon, Mr. McGovern actually engaged in the real world, opening a Bed & Breakfast in New England, only to fail and write in the Wall Street Journal how informing and liberating it was to learn what the laws he had advocated actually cost job creators.

We also had the pleasure of riding in a cab with Mr. McGovern during a torrential storm in Washington when we saw him standing forlorn, soaked to the bone and ignored at 19th and K Street. We picked him up and went for a ride to the Democratic National Club, well out of our way, and enjoyed every minute of the ride . . .

Did Mr. Obama cite “terrorism” immediately after the Benghazi Kerfuffle?

Last evening, the formidable Candy Crowley wrongly prevented a Mitt Romney touchdown.  Like a NFL replacement referee, or for that matter, a highly paid unionized NFL referee who has returned to the field presently, threw a flag and called the play dead as the ball broke the plane of the goal.  She claimed, as do Mr. Obama’s sycophants and acolytes, that Barry condemned Benghazi as an act of terror, which he clearly didn’t. It’s the reason that long-time democrat pollster and Jimmy Carter insider Pat Caddell has declared it the worst “refereed” debate ever.

Very simply, the President’s statement follows in full. Note that some 600 words in, long after he discussed Benghazi and moved on to generic, “Our feelings are hurt” language, he cleverly inserts an admonition against “acts of terror.”  One could insert that condemnation into his children’s bedtime stories. Big whoop!

“Good Morning. Everyday all across the world, American diplomats and civilians work tirelessly to advance the interest and values of our nation.

Often, they are away from their families, sometimes in great, great danger.

Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi. Among those killed was our Ambassador Chris Stevens, as well as his Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith.

We are still notifying the families of the others who were killed and today the American people stand united in holding the families of the four Americans in our thoughts and in our prayers.

The United States condemns, in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack. We’re working with the government of Libya to secure our diplomats. I’ve also directed my administration to increase our security at diplomatic posts around the world. And make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people. Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faith

We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None.

The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts. Already, many Libyans have joined us in doing so,
and this attack will not break the bonds between the United States and Libya.

Libyan security personnel fought back against the attackers alongside Americans. Libyans helped some of our diplomats find safety, and they carried Ambassador Stevens’ body to the hospital, where we tragically learned that he had died.

It’s especially tragic that Chris Stevens died in Benghazi because it is a city that he helped to save. At the height of the Libyan revolution Chris led our diplomatic post in Benghazi.

With characteristic skill, courage and resolve he built partnerships with Libyan revolutionaries and helped them as they planned to build a new Libya.

When the Gaddafi regime came to an end Chris was there to serve as our ambassador to the new Libya, and he worked tirelessly to support this young democracy. And I think both Secretary Clinton and I have relied deeply on his knowledge of the situation on the ground there.

He was a role model to all who worked with him and to the young diplomats who aspire to walk in his footsteps.

Along with his colleagues, Chris died in a country that is still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war. And today the loss of these four Americans is fresh, but our memories of them linger on.

I have no doubt that their legacy will live on through the work that they did far from our shores and in the hearts of those who loved them back home.

Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourn with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

As Americans let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those, both civilian and military, who represent us around the globe.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.

Today we mourn for more Americans who represent the very
best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.

But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in stark contrast to those of their attackers. These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity. They should give every American great pride in the country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity.

We grieve with their families, but let us carry on their memory and let us continue their work in seeking a stronger America and a better world for all of our children. Thank you. May God bless the memory of those we lost, and may God bless the United States of America.”

Presidential powers . . .

In last evening’s “debate,” Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama claimed:

We’re a nation that believes in the Second Amendment, and I believe in the Second Amendment. . .

. . . You know, just a couple of weeks ago, actually, probably about a month, I saw a mother, who I had met at the bedside of her son, who had been shot . . . through the head. And we spent some time, and we said a prayer and, remarkably, about two months later, this young man and his mom showed up, and he looked unbelievable, good as new.

Setting aside the pure, unadulterated bovine scatology, or Barbra Streisand, or Bullshit, is this man-child now claiming healing powers?

Mitt’s a mere Latter Day Saint.  How the hell can he possibly compete with Barry?

“Progressives” and Democrats Don’t Like the U.S. Armed Forces

We think it’s not that the “Progressive” left dislikes our heroic military and service men and women. They simply can’t identify them:

Just a month after the Democratic National Convention featured Cold War-era U.S.S.R. warships as our own on a giant screen at its convention, Chris Murphy, Connecticut Democrat for senate, featured a Norwegian submarine in TV advertising promoting his efforts as a supposed  jobs creator  at the state’s submarine-maker,  the General Dynamics’ subsidiary, Electric Boat of Groton.

A Norwegian  submarine?  Who knew!?!

Surprise, Mrs. Clinton Leaves Us Unsurprised …

Secretary of State Billary Clinton, taking one for the team, claims responsibility for the security of American diplomatic outposts, and arguably the deaths of Ambassador Stevens and colleagues.

“I take responsibility,” Clinton told CNN in an interview while on a visit to Peru. “I’m in charge of the State Department’s 60,000-plus people all over the world, 275 posts. The president and the vice president wouldn’t be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals. They’re the ones who weigh all of the threats and the risks and the needs and make a considered decision.”

She added, that an investigation now under way will ultimately determine what happened at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.  But, we ask, “Why?” If she is responsible, the “ultimate” determination is that she happened. The question is, what is the appropriate punishment?  Perhaps we demand an immediate resignation. Or, if we are truly aggrieved and seek vengeance for her colossal failure to protect America’s interests, we demand that she remain in the employ of Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama indefinitely – a price sure to ultimately tarnish even a Clinton.

We have several more questions:

  • Is Barry EVER held accountable?
  • How does he always find a “woman” to hide behind?
  • How is being “responsible” separated from being held “accountable?”

PBS makes the case . . . against PBS

Maryland Public Television today sent out a message today in support of public funding of PBS.  PBS, by law, is not allowed to participate in politics or advance a partisan agenda. But, in a colossal demonstration of precisely why taxpayers shouldn’t borrow from China, MPT wrote:

Following last week’s presidential debate, the unprecedented outpouring of support for public broadcasting through social media has blown us away. We know Big Bird felt the love, and so did we.

For more than 40 years, Big Bird has embodied the public broadcasting mission — harnessing the power of media for the good of citizens, regardless of where they live or their ability to pay. Our system serves as a universally accessible resource for education, history, science, arts and civil discourse.

It’s important to us that you understand that government funding is only a small piece of what keeps Maryland Public Television on the air. But it’s an important piece. Consider this:

  • The federal investment in public broadcasting equals about one one-hundredth of one percent of the federal budget.
  • Over the course of a year, 91% of all U.S. television households tune in to their local PBS station. In fact, our service is watched by 81% of all children between the ages of 2 and 8.
  • For every $1.00 of federal funding invested, PBS raises an additional $6.00 on its own — a highly effective public-private partnership.

In other words, PBS admits it is a prolific fund raiser. Challenged by the loss of money borrowed from China PBS could survive quite comfortably. It could then advance its “Progressive” political agenda without assaulting the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. And, if it simply asked the commercially successful Big Bird to “join” its family of viewers, it wouldn’t need assistance from those of us who object to government managed messaging on public airwaves.

Pathetically its first point is illustrative of what is wrong with our federal government that borrows 40 cents of each dollar it spends – each line item, in and of itself is small.  Each line item is defended by rent seekers and leeches who argue that no program is violable, even those that could survive without fleecing taxpayers. Even Big Bird, the phenomenally marketable symbol of the loopy left can’t be asked to pay his own way . . .

It’s time to retire public support for Big Bird and Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama . . .

Joe Biteme, er, Biden . . . Brain transplant?

He already did the outside of his head, why not the inside?

It’s reported that Joe Biden is lolling for the six days before his engagement with Paul Ryan in Kentucky for what is called the Vice Presidential “debate.” Our first thought was, “That’s a lot of preparation time and there’s too much information for Joe to absorb. Wouldn’t it be easier to perform a brain transplant?”

Sure, a week is a brief recovery window, but, in Joe’s case, if the new brain hasn’t grafted yet, who could tell?
