Andrew Cuomo. Progressive intolerant bigot. Oh, that’s redundant . . .

To put Little Andy Cuomo, Democrat Governor of the Empire State in perspective  (that’s New York for you Low-Information voters) one must remember his earliest days in the Billary Clinton Administration where he was an Assistant secretary for something at Housing and Urban Development, “HUD,” not to be confused with a good Paul Newman movie.  (They do many important things at HUD, just ask them.)  It’s 1992 and after moving into his palatal office, the then young Cuomo whined incessantly about a buzzing and vibration that periodically emanated from his desk interrupting his naps, or causing other inconveniences.  Building Services (the aptly acronymed , “BS”) investigated, alas to no satisfaction. Then, as fate would have it, BS was on the scene when one of the annoying interferences happened, sending a team of federal bureaucrats scrambling – Adrian Monk-like to solve the mystery. Shazzam! They found it . . . Mr. Cuomo’s newly issued pager, tucked neatly into its box residing deeply in the back of a drawer was seeking him for important things.  Yes, this is a true story emblematic of Andrew’s curiosity, problem solving skills, and need for caring support.

Now comes along Little Andy, declaring of Conservatives,  “Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are, and if they are the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

But wait! Aren’t we told that the Democrat Party and more specifically “Progressives” are tolerant, broad-minded, intellectually curious, and engaging?! It seems not.  We know “liberals” who are right-to-life, Nat Hentoff springs to mind . . . and Harry Reid, the addled senate Majority Leader, too.  We know that about half the population is “pro-life.”  Yet little Andy prefers to live in and associate with New Yorkers who are pro-death, er, pro-abortion, a death sentence for those least able to protect themselves.

We know of no one who is “pro-assault weapon,” but we know many liberals in agreement with Conservatives who can read the Second Amendment to the Owner’s Manual (The Constitution of the United States of America) and believe words have meaning; who believe in a “right to bear arms,” as opposed to bare arms; and who believe correctly that all of the Constitution has equal weight as opposed to the parts that don’t exist, a “right to privacy,” being most prominent.

We also have no personal relationships with gay-bashers because, we have good taste and good judgment about our associations.  But, we know that the Left, particularly the union-labor movement has many troglodytes who “hate” all types of humans, yes, even Gays.

We lament that we don’t live in New York so we could have the pleasure of proposing that Little Andy F*** himself, as we loaded the last penny of our meager wealth into a shoebox and fled for a more progressive place, anywhere but New York.

Barry Obama, ever THE victim . . .

Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama, ever the victim, never tires of whining.  The author of “The Audacity of [a] Dope,” er, “of Hope,” in an interview with the leftist, David Remnick declares, to the the sound of tiny violins, “There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president.”

This is simply the audacity of audacity! If Barry had run for any public office, ever, as a White kid, he’d be trolling for quick money on Hollywood Boulevard, never heard of nor talked about in polite company. In fact, his only reason for being President of our beloved United States of America is that he is half Black. It assured that “Progressives,” Liberals, Blacks and other low-information voters would opt for “hope” rather than reason.  And, how’s that working fore them?  Well, for the uber rich. Rather well. For the 99%? HaHaHa!

To his credit, which we are reluctant give, he did allow that, “Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president.”  Notice how he conditioned this mindless support, “the benefit of the doubt.”  He’s right! He’s always right! But, if they doubt it, they can rely on his being half-Black and take comfort that he’s right! He’s always right!

Bob Gates, Hopeless Romantic?

Mr. Gates should be embarrassed. I don’t doubt a word he wrote about the feckless, and yes, pusillanimous President and his Secretary of State.  But, accepting it as all true, why did Mr. Gates stay with an administration driven by self-doubt, a loathing of country, and driven by politics and all cost?

Either he was too cowardly to resign and create controversy and criticism from “Progressives” who would have vilified and excoriated him; or he is a hopeless romantic who thought he could turn his man into a man. That’s not happening. Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama is a Metro-sexual poster boy without pecs . . .

Time Marches On . . .

Happy New Year!

When last we posted, we were preparing for one of life’s interesting adventures. On November 22, we submitted our-self to care of the medical community, luckily before Obamacare hits its stride. HaHaHa! We want to thank Compton Benjamin, M.D. for practicing his craft with skill, humor, and a refreshingly direct bedside manor. Wait! Come to think of it, he sent surrogates in his stead when we were bedded. Well, the long and short of this is, Gentlemen, have your PSA tested regularly. As Compton observed, “We (the medical community) over-treat the prostate. But, it’s because we occasionally catch a problem like [mine] early-on and record a save.”

Tomorrow we start posting in earnest.

Barry Obama: “Dog is is my co-pilot”

Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama joined 60 other prominent Americans in a Ken Burns project – a reading of the Gettysburg Address, arguably the greatest oratory ever delivered. But, in keeping with his character, Barry read a version different – nd odd one indeed and true to no known copy. It was, in fact, far different from each of the four living Presidents who contributed. Odder, he omitted Mr. Lincoln’s clear, unambiguous nod to God. As our 17 year-old political adviser noted, “He’s like a teenage girl, afraid to offend anyone.” We like to think, generously, that he voted “Present.”

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. Nancy Pelosi . . . all about Truthiness

When San Fran Nan said, “you have to read it (The Affordable Care Act) to find out what’s in it,” she spoke truthiness. (Thank you George W. Bush.)

As we now know, millions upon million of hard working Americans are losing healthcare plans that they were perfectly content with and that Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama assured Americans 34 times they could keep.  Even Ms. Pelosi’s colleague from Californicate, Senator Dianne Feinstein – never to be confused with Einstein – is now onboard. She says, “Allow people to keep their plans.” Well not exactly. She is sponsoring a bill to “force” insurance companies to continue to offer old, non-Obama style plans. As if they created this rat’s breakfast.

Not a single Republican, TEA Party or other, voted for this mess. And every Democrat who voted for it should be turned out of office! They are feckless cowards.

“Obama’s Catastrophic Victory”

With appreciation for our old friend Peggy Noonan, we reprint her latest blog:

Years ago John McPhee wrote a great book about Bill Bradley called “A Sense of Where You Are.” I keep thinking about that title. You have to know where you are in time and space, you have to know who you are and what you’re doing, you have to be able to locate the moment and reorient yourself within it.

Politically where are we right now, at this moment?

We have a huge piece of U.S. economic and social change that debuted a month ago as a program. The program dealt with something personal, even intimate: your health, the care of your body, the medicines you choose to take or procedures you get. It was hugely controversial from day one. It took all the political oxygen from the room. It failed to garner even one vote from the opposition when it was passed. It gave rise to a significant opposition movement, the town hall uprisings, which later produced the tea party. It caused unrest. In fact, it seemed not to answer a problem but cause it. I calledObamaCare, at the time of its passage, a catastrophic victory—one won at too great cost, with too much political bloodshed, and at the end what would you get? Barren terrain. A thing not worth fighting for.

So the program debuts and it’s a resounding, famous, fantastical flop. The first weeks of the news coverage are about how the websites don’t work, can you believe we paid for this, do you believe they had more than three years and produced this public joke of a program, this embarrassment?

But now it’s much more serious. No one’s thinking about the websites. They wish you were thinking about the websites! I bet America hopes the websites never work so they never have to enroll.

The problem now is not the delivery system of the program, it’s the program itself. Not the computer screen but what’s inside the program. This is something you can’t get the IT guy in to fix.

They said if you liked your insurance you could keep your insurance—but that’s not true. It was never true! They said if you liked your doctor you could keep your doctor—but that’s not true. It was never true! They said they would cover everyone who needed it, and instead people who had coverage are losing it—millions of them! They said they would make insurance less expensive—but it’s more expensive! Premium shock, deductible shock. They said don’t worry, your health information will be secure, but instead the whole setup looks like a hacker’s holiday. Bad guys are apparently already going for your private information.

Look at the simple, factual eloquence of Edie Littlefield Sundby, from Monday’s Journal. It is a story that tells you everything you need to know aboutObamaCare. It is the single most persuasive and informative piece written since the whole program began.

And now there are reports the insurance companies are taking advantage of the chaos of the program, and its many dislocations, to hike premiums. Meaning the law was written in such a way that insurance companies profit on it.

And—I am limiting things to just today’s news – the New York Times reports that while millions may qualify for enough federal subsidies to pay the entire monthly cost of some health-insurance plans, the zero premiums come with some “serious trade-offs.” What serious trade-offs? Most of these plans, called the bronze policies, “require people to pay the most in out-of-pocket costs, for doctor visit and other benefits like hospital stays.” Huh? I thought the purpose of the law was to help with the cost of doctor visits and hospital stays!

Back to a sense of where we are. You know where we are? It’s as if it’s 1964 and the administration has just passed landmark civil rights legislation and the bill goes into effect, and everyone looks—only immediately it is apparent that it makes everyone’s life worse! It doesn’t help minority groups – it makes their lives harder and less free! And it does real, present and intimate damage to the majority.

It’s as if it’s 1937 and they launched Social Security, only rich coupon-clippers on Park Avenue immediately started getting small monthly checks, and 67-year-old dust bowlers in tarpaper shacks started getting monthly bills.

It’s the biggest governmental enterprise that hasn’t worked since the earliest beginnings of the U.S. rocket program, when they kept trying to send rockets into space and they kept falling, defeated and groaning, into the ground. Only the rockets were still unmanned, so those failures never hurt anybody!

ObamaCare is a practical, policy and political disaster, a parlay of poisonous P’s.

And it is unbelievable – simply unbelievable – that the administration is so proud, so childish, so ideological, so ignorant and so uncaring about the bill’s victims that they refuse to stop, delay, go back, redraw and ease the trauma.

Two closing notes. In my lifetime the good word liberal was discarded by the Democratic Party. Over the decades they’d run it into the ground and changed it from a plus to a minus. Liberal came to suggest a whole world of bad ideas—soft on crime, eager for gun confiscation, big taxing. So the past 20 years Democrats tried to change their label, and in the Obama era it was finally definitively changed. They were now progressives.

Well, the biggest piece of progressive legislation in our lifetimes—not just costly but intrusive, abusive, and marked by a command-and-control mentality—is ObamaCare.

Remember, “We’re gonna need a bigger boat”? They’re gonna need another name.

Second point: I don’t know, maybe the Republican Party could focus on where we are and help those Americans who are beside themselves with anxiety? A friend had a suggestion today. Maybe instead of having oversight hearings on the stupid website, they could be hauling in some insurance executives to see if they’re capitalizing on this bad law and trying to profit on its dislocations? You know, like they’re listening not to K Street lobbyists but the people?

Maybe they could even call in some people from the White House and Congress, the ones who helped write and interpret this famous law that you had to pass before you could know what was in it, and ask: “Did you ever meet a normal human? Did you understand what you were doing when you produced this thing?”

Maybe they could even ask the president: “In your entire life, from community organizer to lawyer to politician, did you ever buy an insurance policy? Were you always on your wife’s plan, or immediately put on a plush government plan? Did you ever have to do anything like what you’re telling the people of your country to do?”
