The President went to college. Who knew?

In an astonishingly good example of bad “journalism,”  Robin Abcarian of the Los Angeles Times, or affectionately, “The LA Slimes,” displays for all to read  (College transcripts) one of many reasons the readership of that once illustrious newspaper can now be stuffed into a Volkswagen Beetle, and soon a phone booth. (OK, I give. What they hell is a phone booth?)

Robin’s premise is that now, Mr. Obama’s birth is uncontestable and consequently, the “birthers,” who are, in her estimation all non-Obama voters, are obsessed with his college transcripts.  The skeptic’s premise is obvious: Mr. Obama was not the brilliant young man his supporters fantasize, but rather an “affirmative action” product, mediocre but handsome and glib.  Well, duh!  To counter the obvious Robin suggests:

That rationale may strike some as a little flimsy, given that Obama was president of the Harvard Law Review, taught constitutional law, has two bestselling books to his credit and is, at the moment, leader of the free world.

Of course we know from all available reports that Mr. Obama was chosen not for academic brilliance, but instead, his ability to bring conflicting parties together in peace. Wow, a bunch of Harvard brats making peace. . . there’s a picture!  She claims that he “taught constitutional law.” He did not in fact “teach”but instead was a lecturer who advanced  subjects he found interesting; his bestselling books were most likely written by his friend and mentor Bill Ayers, an unrepentant terrorist; and he leads the free world from behind, a view expressed by his own sycophants at Casa Blanca.

One need not dig deeply to find the fatal flaws in today’s mainstream. Incurious are they who have no educational requirement, no licensing exam, no peer review, no continuing professional education, no pride and lacking a basic sense of professionalism. Even the lovely ladies of Columbia, so admired by the U. S. Secret Service, have higher standards. That says much. . .

Crony Crapitalism, Mr. Obama, and Progressives unite . . .

Michael Barone is unquestionably the sharpest mind in political punditry.  Starting as a liberal Democrat he appears to a casual observer, or a typical Democrat, if that’s not redundant, to have drifted to the right side.  He has argued that his views are consistent and that his views have grown more conservative from experience while the Democrat Party has veered sharply left when driven by Progressives.

In his Townhall Magazine column today ( Obamacom) Michael offers a a bit of insight, in a way he does best, by digging into polling and explaining his analysis so clearly that even a student of the Punahou, Occidental, Columbia and Harvard Law should be alarmed.

Of course, the Democrat Party assault on “private equity” can be summed up simply: “Democrats love [union] employees but hate employers.”

If Mitt Romney’s team were not comprised of the keen minds who gave us Presidents Dole and McCain, we could be confident of victory.  Instead, the masterminds in Romneyville wring their hands and lament that “private equity is hard to explain.” It isn’t: You tell the boys that their favorite cigar store, sports bar, and strip club are all funded with “private equity.”  You tell the girls that their nail shop, hair stylist, and Starbucks are all creations of “private equity.”  You tell Democrats, Progressives, and Metrosexuals that their Priuses, Birkenstocks, and contraceptives are all products of “private equity.”

Alas, this should be a classic ass-whuppin’ . . .

Obama, O’Malley, Oh . . . Crap

Socialist Democrat governor Martin O’Malley fancies himself President of all of The United States on January 20, 2017.   The Wall Street Journal today (O’Malley’s Tutorial) informs why this shouldn’t, can’t and won’t happen. Each of Mr. O’Malley’s tax hikes, made possible by overwhelming Socialist Democrat legislative majorities has proved the wisdom of Lady Thatcher’s admonition: “The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money [to spend].” Maryland is tapped out . . .

While Maryland has never been a major exporting state like California, they now share in common the export of MILLIONAIRES. Or, in the case of the mathematically challenged O’Malley, hundred-thousandaires.

Barack of the Hood and his band of Merry Men

Yesterday, in another colossal display of ignorance, or is it stupidity, the President tweeted:

Mitt Romney takes from the poor … and gives to the rich. He’s just the opposite of Robin Hood.

The notion that the President of the United States, a man who plays more golf than Tiger Woods; whiles away his time on the sofa with the gals on The View; seeks spiritual guidance form The Reverend Wright; and political guidance from Bill Ayers; and takes time to tweet snarky missives at Mitt Romney, is illuminating.

That he gladly associates himself with an English outlaw is unsurprising; there is a certain honor among thieves.

But, it is astounding that none in his Band of Merry Men – or Married Men, after his evolution – appreciates that Robin Hood was not stealing from the rich, but, instead taking back from government what had been stolen from the people by confiscatory tax and regulatory policies.

Parents, don’t let your children attend the Punahou School, Occidental College, Columbia University or Harvard Law School. At best, they breed ignorance . . .

Farcebook, only the “experts” were wrong . . .

While the Democrats and Progressives – if that’s not redundant – breathe heavy over Jamie Dimon losing a bit of investors’ money, not taxpayer funds, a la Solyndra, they are silent about the farce called “Facebook.” Or, if you will, Fakebook; Failbook; Faceplant: this list goes on . . .

Even Mr. Obama’s “Government Motors” has withdrawn from Facebook advertising and withdrawn from the Super Bowl too!

A hundred billion company without revenues. It sounds like the United States!

How long can you hold your breath?

OK, this is a contest you can’t win.  Breathe deeply! After seeing the following video, wait for Eugene “I see a white-man under every bed” Robinson, Jonathan, The Washington Post’s very own “Queen of Hearts” Capehart and especially Colby “I won a Pulitzer Prize” King to express outrage; or any rage; or even to notice!

White man attacked by Black men in Floriduh!

For those still hunkering, breathe . . . the point is that barbaric behavior is, well . . .  Barbaric, white or black or whatever.  But, Our “progressive” black brothers live in the “Jim Crow” spectacle.  If they joined modern America, they’d be of no use in America.

Shoddy “Journalism” and WaPo, a Marriage . . .

In characteristically pathetic “journalism,” Colby King defends, well, he attempts to defend, the feckless Mr. Obama. He argues in his column, Equality is bigger than the president, that the  issue dominating the news shouldn’t be the President’s “evolution” in support of same-sex marriage, but instead, the “civil right” to marry whomever. Of course Mr. Obama didn’t “evolve,” he revolved back to his original stated view of 1996.  His meandering through his political career is a clear path of cynicism in pursuit of money, votes, and approval, anything but conviction. Of course the current discussion is about Mr. Obama . . . he injected himself into it.

Sadly, Mr. King equates the issue of same-sex union to the civil rights struggles seeking equality for Americans of African decent – confusing the right to enter into the voluntary contract of marriage versus the immutable characteristic of race. That a Black man confuses contract rights with human rights is sad, indeed.

Finally, in order to make his weak argument stronger, he misrepresents – no doubt intentionally – Mitt Romney’s view declaring him to be opposed to “civil unions.” Said King:

“Mitt Romney weighed in on the heels of Obama’s announcement to remind voters of his opposition to gay marriage and civil unions, and his support for a constitutional amendment that ensures gay couples can never marry.”

What Romney in fact said, is:

“I do not favor civil unions if they are identical to marriage other than by name,” he told the Fox TV station in Denver. “My view is the domestic partnership benefits, hospital visitation rights, and the like are appropriate but that the others are not.”

Simply, Romney is of the view that Juliet was right:

“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.”

Call it what you will . . . if it mimics marriage, it is marriage.
