Unconnected Dots . . .

  • First John Burton, Chairman of the Californicate Democrat Party suggested linkage between Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan and Nazi propagandist, the often misunderstood Joseph Goebbels.  Now little Dick Harpootlian, Chairman of the South Carolina Democrat Party similarly links Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina to Adolf Hitler’s squeeze, Eva Braun. Do we have a new convention theme emerging?
  • President Obama ran an ad arguing that Mitt Romney’s acts at Bain Capital led to a cancer death of a woman six years after he left Bain, had served as CEO of the Salt Lake City Olympics and had become Governor of the great state of Taxachusetts.  But, a great leader of the Democrat Party Senator Ted Kennedy who was featured in a convention video last evening before his deranged son, wife-beater Joe spoke, is the only leader in either party whose acts lead directly to the death of anyone, Mary Jo Kopechne. Ted received some scorn from his party and a small fine after being ably represented by the Democrat law firm, Winer, Diner, Dicker and Dunker. Mary Jo is still dead.
  • Touré, a leading spokesman and rising star as a Democrat Party surrogate for Mr. Obama has instructed women to have their abortions now, before a Romney win that will send them to jail. As if any elected official can impose extra-judicial remedies in defiance of the Constitution and laws of America. Oh, wait, Mr. Obama has and calls it the Dream Act.

You just can’t make up this stuff, but we do wish we had a fair and balanced media to expose it and the rank hypocrisy.

Michelle Obama and Street Cred . . .

It is unfortunate but true that neither the President nor his wife can rely on the truth to persuade.  As the saying goes, “She’d tell a lie if the truth would serve her better.”  While her style last evening was clearly in the A- range (Yes, we demand perfection) the content was C- and lower if one takes into account the obvious fabrications.

Perhaps most amazingly is that both Obamas simply lie about the most easily verified “facts.”  For example, Michelle talked of the struggle Madelyn Dunham (of “typical white woman” notoriety) endured while working at Bank of Hawaii, passed over when due for promotion, a “glass ceiling” bumping against her noggin, walking miles through the snow to get to work . . . OK, we made up the last one – it was Honolulu, but, you get the idea.

Of course, the true story is a quite different: Madelyn, who attended but did not graduate the University of Washington, began as a clerk in the bank in 1960.  In the new state of Hawaii, “whites,” pejoratively known as haoles (pronounced how-lee(s) (pl.) for those from the other 57 states) were in the minority, as they remain today.  They were victims of ugly discrimination and still are today, all in a land of unbridled liberalism and “diversity.” But, that’s another essay. Add to Madelyn’s minority status that she was a woman and she was challenged, no doubt in a non-white man’s world. That notwithstanding, by 1970 she rose to vice president of the bank, a rather meteoric smashing of the glass ceiling  especially for someone not schooled or trained in banking. She was one of the first female bank executives in Hawaii or in any other of the states, known or unknown to Mr. Obama.

Michelle’s infidelity to the truth about a simple story that would be admirable absent the varnish is much like her husband’s discredited claims of his mother’s noble battle against evil “insurance companies” while fighting cancer.  David Maraniss, the Progressive hack and Obama flack from The Washington comPost, disposed of that canard handily. Her  fight was over a disability policy, which eventually paid and her health insurance covered all but $800 of deductible expenses in her battle that eventually took her life.

Julian Castro v. Fidel Castro

Julian is younger, handsomer, glibber and . . . oh hell, he’s another Castro.

One debate down, three to go . . .

In the first Presidential debate, Governor Mitt Romney took advantage of an arcane rule and substituted a surrogate. Mitt won, but irrespective of the substance, use your imagination and picture Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama speaking for 10 minutes, extemporaneously and NOT lying!

Another Republican Racial Assault. Oooopsy!

Oooopsy! In a typical display of Democrat racism Ben Akselrod, not to confused with David Axelrod, thinks that “negrohood” is a synonym for neighborhood. Or, in the alternative, because he was no doubt publicly schooled, he thinks “typo,” is a satisfactory apology for overt racism. What, the dog didn’t eat his homework?

Obama didn’t “do” Osama (No, not that way!)

In a disturbing report, A Navy Seal claims that Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama did not in fact kill Osama bin Laden.  Gosh, the President and his acolytes have exaggerated the one foreign engagement for which Mr. President has claimed success.

They way they tell it, Mr. Obama showed extraordinary courage – directly facing the risk of great political embarrassment – if the finest fighters ever trained failed in their mission to dispatch Mr. bin Laden to meet his 76 virgins. Some tell the story of Mr. Obama’s engagement so breathlessly, one can almost see him slithering down the line from the helicopter hovering over bin Laden manor . . .

Instead, it turns out that Mr. Obama and his flacks claim credit for killing an unarmed “pussy.” They lied. Who knew?

We Love Mia Love . . .

If you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing Mia Love speak passionately about the ideas propelling her candidacy, take time now to meet the Mayor at the Republican National Convention.

The Dawgs are Barkin . . .

Or, at least Ellen Barkin is barking. In a typically ugly display of “Progressive” political discourse, a representative of the Democrat Party speaks volumes about civility…

Michael Ramirez cartoons . . .and writes too.

Michale Ramirez wrote a good but limited expose of Mr. Obama’s unreported or under-reported “gaffes,” which range from goofy – “57 states” and Navy “Corpse” man – to disgusting – “Polish death camps,” and to improbable, even with “Stimulus” funds – “intercontinental railroad.”

If our mainstream press displayed even a modicum of professionalism, Mr. Obama would be the laugh track we need to cheer the nation.

But, always keep in mind: Journalism requires no formal education, requires no state  license, requires no peer review, requires no continuing education, and has no standard setting association or disciplinary body.

How exactly are they “professional.”

Thomas Sowell on Risky Business

As ever, Thomas Sowell illuminates clearly in his column, Risky Business,  the hash politicians have made of health insurance even before we learn of the many ugly features of “Obamacare” that we will rue. Here, he distills the argument:

By passing laws to force insurance companies to cover things that have nothing to do with risk, politicians force up the cost of insurance.

Annual checkups, for example, are known in advance to take place once a year. Foreseeable events are not a risk. Annual checkups are no cheaper when they are covered by an insurance policy. On the contrary, they are one of many things that are more expensive when they are covered by an insurance policy.

Pooling all of the costs of foreseeable events and redistributing all of the costs only adds costs – those of bureaucracy, inefficiency, and the ever popular, “Waste, Fraud and Abuse,” a phrase so abusive it should be banned from usage. (Thank you Jesse Boomshackalacka Jackson.)

Our Progressive friends bristle at the charge that President Obama is a socialist, yet he can rarely find a behavior that shouldn’t be redistributed in some form by the federal  government.  Our Progressive friends even bristle at the notion that self-identified Socialist, Senator Bernie Sanders (I. Vt.) is a socialist. (Apparently Sarah Palin can be slurred as a C*** but don’t hurt a Progressive’s  feelings with the malignant charge of ‘socialism.'”  But, keep in mind that every time a politician orders a private citizen to pay for goods or services for the benefit of others, it is a form of socialism.

The question before the voters int this election is “How much socialism is too much?”
